- Connect your modem to the router and click on the Next button on the setup wizard to proceed.
- The setup wizard will detect the internet connection which might take a few minutes. Once the connection is detected, the internet indicator light on the front panel of the router will turn to Blue. If no internet connection is detected, you can power cycle your modem and wait until it's ready and click on the Try Again button.
- Click on ‘Check for the Latest Firmware Now’ button. If a new firmware version is available, you can proceed with installing the update. Otherwise, click on the I’m Done button.
- The parent node is now successfully configured with your child node added successfully. If you ever need to run the setup wizard again, just reset the router before setting it up again.
You can now proceed with connecting your devices to the network you just set up and start accessing seamless internet.
Can't connect to Linksys E9450?
If the linksys router E9450 setup is not online, you can proceed with the steps below:
- From the main router setup wizard, head to General and then click on the Internet Setup menu.
- Skip to the section on the type of internet connection that you need and start following the steps for the Bridge Mode.
- If there are any internet profiles for the device, check the box and click on the Remove button.
- Select Bridge Mode and click on the Apply button.
- Copy the link provided to access the Linksys router after the Bridge Mode is set and click on the Ok button.
- Once the settings take effect, reconnect to your WiFi and make sure that you are online. Your router will now be set up in Bridge mode. You can now create a new internet profile.
Creating a New Internet Profile
- By default there is an existing DHCP profile which you will need to edit. Remove the same and create it again.
- From the WAN Service Configuration window, click on the Add button. For now, we will continue to Automatic Configuration- DHCP and then click on Next. If you choose PPPoE, you will be prompted to enter the username and password credentials provided to you by your ISP(Internet Service Provider). If you don’t have access to these, you’ll need to connect with your ISP and fetch the same.
- For the Automatic Configuration -DHCP Setup, you can leave the first option checked and then click on the Next button. For Advanced users, you can enter the Static DNS servers if required.
- Once done click on the Apply/Save button. Once you click on the same, you will be taken back to the Internet Setup page using your new internet profile.
- Allow some time for the internet status lights on the router to turn solid blue. Once they are, the internet connection will start working. If you still can’t connect to Linksys E9450 router network, and see AMber color on the LED, try restarting the router and the modem both. This will clear the session cache and will fix the connectivity issues, if any.
Your Linksys E9450 mesh setup is now complete. Connect your wireless devices to the network you have just set up and start accessing the web on the go.
Resolving WiFi connection issues with your Linksys E9450 Setup
